This privacy policy applies to CSVLab – CSV Viewer & Editor (the "Application") for Android and iOS, created by LivinLabs (the "Service Provider"). The Application is free with ads, and offers optional paid upgrades.
CSV, Excel and other files you open, edit or create are processed on your device. The Service Provider does not upload, store or see your files. A file only leaves your device when you choose to share or export it using system features, or when you use the AI assistant as described below.
No account or registration is required.
AI assistant ("Ask AI"). When you use the AI assistant, the Application sends your question, the column names of the open table, a limited preview of its rows, summary statistics (such as column totals), your recent AI conversation, a random identifier created when the Application is installed, and whether you have Pro. This is sent to the Service Provider's server and forwarded to a third-party AI model provider to generate the answer. It is used only to answer your request and to track your AI credit balance. If you do not use the AI assistant, no table data is sent.
Usage analytics. The Application uses PostHog to record anonymous usage events, such as which screens are opened, which features are used, app lifecycle events, and basic device and app information (device model, operating system and app version). These events are not linked to your name or email and are used to improve the Application.
Advertising. The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), IP address and device information to serve and measure ads. On iOS, the advertising identifier is only used if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. In the EEA and UK, personalised ads are only shown with your consent. Purchases. Payments are handled by the App Store or Google Play. The Service Provider never receives your payment details; the Application only receives whether a purchase is active, which it uses to unlock Pro features and AI credits.
The Application does not collect precise location data.
Information is shared only with the service providers listed above (PostHog, Google AdMob, the AI model provider, and Cloudflare, which hosts the Service Provider's server), and only for the purposes described. The Service Provider does not sell personal information.
AI requests are processed to produce an answer and are not kept by the Service Provider beyond what is needed to track AI credits. Analytics data is kept for as long as it is useful for improving the Application. Data collected by Google AdMob is governed by Google's retention policies.

The Application is not directed at children under 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact connect.livinlabs@gmail.com and it will be deleted.
Data sent by the Application is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
